Nashua Assembly #9 I.O.R.G. and Pledge & Sparkles: Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00 pm. OES and Masonic members are encouraged to attend ALL events. Please feel free to contact Sister Aimee Busby, M.A. for more information regarding any Rainbow events at (603) 320-9486. For Pledges and Sparkles, please call Tatiana Fowler, Asst Mother Advisor at (603) 809-8357, if you know of a girl between 6-11 years old (for Pledge) and 4-6 years old (for Sparkle) who would like to join.

From the East: Welcome back from a hot and wet summer. Looking forward to the beautiful weather in fall including the fall foliage. In June we had two meetings. First, we had our December makeup meeting “Christmas in June” where we all wore our Christmas best. Our June Stated meeting was with a Hawaiian/tropical dress. It was fun to see everyone in this comfortable themed attire. We had a very tasty potluck dinner before the meeting. Thank you to Lisa Hollis for organizing it. And thank you to all who brought food. If you left hungry, it was your own fault as there was plenty of food. Jackie Cole was honored with a 55-year pin. We raised $138 in our badge fundraiser.

The Past Matrons and Past Patrons of Pilgrim Chapter put on an Old Fashion Degree (OFD). Thank you to Lisa Hollis for coordinating the degree. It was awesome. The tea before the OFD was such a success. Thank you, Lisa Proulx for coordinating the Tea, and a big thank you to Janet Thompson and Laura Fowler (from Acacia Chapter #80) for the decorations, making all the sandwiches and many desserts. It was an honor to use Shelley Gullett’s teacups, it made the event extra special.

It was an honor for Steve and me to speak at Grand Assembly as the Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron of the sponsoring Chapter. August brought us to a very nice Grand Chapter. Congratulations to our new Grand Officers especially to include those from Pilgrim Chapter: Joan Smith – Grand Secretary, Stephen Bahsler – Grand Treasurer, Lisa Hollis – Grand Trustee to Grand Secretary, and Aimee Busby – Grand Adah. Our September (Annual) meeting will start at 7:00 pm per our Bylaw changes. We will hear from our Conductress regarding Grand Chapter as well as many annual reports will be given. We will also have an election of officers. We will receive information from our Associate Matron on her term and officers. We hope you will join us. We would like to thank all our officers for a job well done this year. We especially want to thank those who stepped up and substituted when we needed a station filled. Thank you to Tatiana and Eric for coordinating the fundraising dinners this year.

The incoming Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron, Brother Richard Thompson and I are very much looking forward to serving Pilgrim Chapter as your Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron for the upcoming term (if elected). This will be Rick’s first time as a Worthy Patron in New Hampshire and my second time in Pilgrim Chapter. My first time was from 2007-2008. I will be sending a separate email to the membership looking for those who would like to serve as officers next term. Most importantly the Chapter needs a Conductress and Associate Conductress. If you have never gone up the line, if you have been a Worthy Matron in another Chapter, or if you have been a Pilgrim Past Matron, please consider going up the line and serving, in my opinion, one of THE BEST Chapters around. Recently, the members of Pilgrim Chapter present voted to change our bylaws changing our meeting time to 7:00. Brother Rick and I proposed this in an effort to get more of you to attend our meetings. If we start earlier and have efficient meetings, it will allow more time for social enjoyment upstairs during collation. We would also like to have honor and fun programs either during the meeting or during collation. Please mark your calendars for Friday, October 27 for the Installation of Officers. We hope to see many of you there!
