What happened at the last meeting: Last meeting we participated in the White Dove program and were able to fill a large shopping cart full of Christmas presents for a local Nashua family. We also enjoyed wrapping gifts after the meeting. Thank you to all who helped with shopping and wrapping gifts. We also voted to take out an advertisement in the Charity Luau (ie formerly Charity Ball) Program Book for Grand Chapter. If anyone would like to have their name listed under the Chapter listing in the book, please contact Joan Smith, PM Secretary. Lastly we draped the Altar for two Eastern Star members.

It’s Scholarship time: The OES Educational Scholarship is open to all members and their issue (children, grandchildren etc). Our Chapter is able to nominate one person to receive this Scholarship, and we will vote on the applicant at the February 26th meeting. Anyone interested in being sponsored should send a letter requesting nomination, with information regarding your educational plans, to the Secretary for our Chapters’ consideration on that date. Other Educational Scholarships, such as ESTARL and Albert D Miner Scholarships, are also available. Please contact our Secretary for more information.

It’s Supper Season: Another fun way to enjoy the camaraderie of our Sisters and Brothers, and raise money for the Chapter and our various charitable acts is helping work as supper or two. Sister Shelley Gullett PGM is looking for help on the following dates: Jan 27, Kick off Dinner, Feb 1, Feb 15, Feb 22, Feb 29, Mar 4, Mar 7, Mar 11, Mar 21, Mar 28, Mar 30.

From the East:

Dear Sisters and Brothers, This year, we have decided to “Give it Back” to our communities. Please help our local Animal Shelter this month by bringing in goods, such as paper towels, old towels, and cleaning supplies, kitty litter, cat and dog toys and treats.

Should anyone need a ride to the meeting, please feel free to contact the Worthy Matron and she will do her utmost to see that you are picked up and driven home.
