Dear Sisters and Brothers:

You are cordially invited to attend the stated meeting on Friday, January 25, 2012 at 7:30 pm, for the purpose of receiving petitions, balloting, and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. Sister Officers may wear colored gowns.

Official Visitation of Pilgrim Chapter #55 will be Friday, February 22, 2013. We will have Officer rehearsals on Feb. 10 and Feb. 17, both at 6pm. All Officers should make every attempt to be present.

We are now collecting new stuffed animal Huggables. Please drop off these stuffed animals at a meeting, or call your Secretary or Worthy Matron if you have Huggables to be picked up.

Yankee Swap: The Yankee Swap planned for our December meeting has been rescheduled during collation after our January meeting. If you would like to participate, please bring a wrapped item no more than $10.00. Everyone is invited to participate.

Congratulations and welcome to Sisters Rosa M. Fowler, Brother Paul M. Haskell, Sr., Sister Elizabeth Z.Haskell, and Sister Victoria J.H. Markarian who were initiated at our last meeting.; to the following who were announced as Grand Representatives at our December meeting: Brother Robert S. Bean, III,PP – Delaware; Sister Julie I. Marciello – Saskatchewan; Sister Jackie Poisson – New Mexico; and Sister Jennifer A. Taylor-Arnold, PM – Australia. Best wishes for a wonderful time corresponding with your new counterparts!

Sickness and Distress: Brother Herb Hutchinson, PP had knee surgery on Dec 10 and is in rehab at Greenbriar Health Terrace and would love visitors; Sisters Annie L.K. Rice, Elsie Durkee and Betty Andrews, and Brothers Jack Caynan and Richard I Poole Jr.,PGP, all who are having some health problems and could use cards of good cheer; continued get well wishes go out to Bro. David C. Thompson PGP, Gr. Treasurer Emeritus, and to Sisters Tracey L. Thompson, Pamela G. Williams, PM, Jacqueline B. Marden, PM, and Cynthia B Covey, all of which had recent surgeries and are in varying degrees of healing.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Sister Barbara L. Rollett who passed away Christmas Day; and to Sisters Phyllis A. Lackie, PM and Nikia A. Quesnel on the loss of their Sister and Great-Aunt respectively.

Nashua Assembly #9 I.O.R.G. and Pledge & Sparkles: Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00 pm. OES and Masonic members are encouraged to attend ALL events. The next meetings are Jan 17 and Feb. 7. Installation of Officers will be Saturday, Jan 5 at 4pm. Miss Madeline Going is Worthy Advisor-elect. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Deborah A. What happened at our recent meeting? The Chapter officers initiated four new members into Eastern Star. Our Worthy Grand Matron and Worthy Grand Patron made the following Grand Representative appointments. The Advisory Board members for Nashua Assembly #9 were announced. Recognized on the sidelines were two members from Nova Scotia- Bro. Owen Walton, PP, and Sister Shirley Walton, PM. It was announced that Chri Busby from Rising Sun Lodge won the TV Raffle that went on this past month, and that we made a sizable profit.

We draped the altar in loving memory of Sisters Louise L. Dixon and Barbara L. Rollett.
