Dear Sisters and Brothers:

You are cordially invited to attend the stated meeting on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. for the purpose of receiving petitions, balloting, conferring of degrees, and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. Lady officers may wear colored gowns.

Collation: Under the direction of Sister Nancy E. Brooks, PM, Associate Matron, assisted by Sister Judy A. Porter and Brother Robert M. Porter Jr. PP.

Dues Notices: Enclosed you will find a dues notice personalized for each member. Please note that the dues and fees amount remain unchanged for this year. If you are a member for 50 years or more before 2009 your dues are remitted in full. If you are a 50 year member after 2009 you are asked to pay the per capita fee only (as voted by the Chapter membership in 2009.) This information is indicated on the Dues notice. Remitted member will find their dues cards enclosed for 2018.

We are in the process of setting up a Paypal account which some members find is an easier way to pay their dues. This option should be available by January.

Please note that on the back side of the notice is a sticker with your demographic information that has been entered into the new database. Please report back to me any incorrect information so that our records are accurate.

Sickness and Distress: Get well wishes to Cindy Covey, Priscilla Ricard, Bill Whitney, and Henry and Joyce Brown who have all been under the weather recently. To Shelley Gullett after her recent surgery and to Lois Taylor on her upcoming surgery.

Congratulations: Congrats to Samuel Varjabedian for receiving the Cross of Honor at the recent DeMolay event. Congrats to Miss Madeline Going, GWAA, daughter of our Sister Doreen Going, for receiving the Grand Cross of Color.

Sympathy:
To Sister Marsha Gray and the family of Barbara Rooks PM on the passing of her mother, our beloved Sister.

What happened at the last meeting: At our November meeting we voted to submit the names of Joan Smith, Shelley Gullett, and Steve Bahsler for elected offices in Grand Chapter. decided to pursue a PayPal account for our dues payments, and formed a committee to investigate bank account to assist in this effort. We decided to donate the evening collection to the purpose of acquiring needed items for Anne Marie House, and did a collection in the Baby Bottle for the Babyless Baby Shower. We voted to accept the date of Jan 25, 2019 for an OV. We decided to do our Kitchen and Temple clean up on December 29- starting at 3pm and going through evening. We talked about having a vendor fair next year with proceeds to go toward our 100th anniversary celebration.

From the East:
As we end this year let’s reflect on the memories we’ve created this year and let us look forward to the new year and what we can do for the Chapter and for ourselves.

Thank you for the collection to Anne Marie House at the last meeting, this will help make the holiday a bit warmer for a family at the House!

As this was a hit last year at our December meeting, all are encouraged to bring a dozen (or two!) cookies or sweets to swap with your sisters and brothers. We will have this opportunity to pause for a moment in our busy schedules to enjoy the season! (and have cookies for Santa when you arrive home!)

May you all look to the Star in the East to guide you along your journey just as the Three Wise Men did ages ago… so that may we also follow His Star and learn the true meaning of this holiday season.
Merry Christmas and God bless!
