You are cordially invited to attend the stated meeting on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 7:30 pm, for the purpose of receiving petitions, balloting, and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. Sister Officers please wear white gowns as we will be conferring degrees.

Yankee Swap: There will be a Yankee Swap during collation. If you would like to participate, please bring a wrapped item no more than $10.00. Everyone is invited to participate!!
What happened at our recent meeting? We were pleased to welcome in our new affiliated member, received a donation of a beautiful quilt from Sister Shelley M Gullett, PGM, for the Grand Chapter Quilt project, decided to do a raffle fundraiser with Square and Compass Club, installed our Sentinel into office, and we draped the Altar in memoriam of the passing of Sister Ellen D Winters.
Congratulations to Sister Jennifer A Taylor-Arnold, PM on her marriage to Michael Arnold; to Sister Wendy R Bean who received the Grand Cross of Color; to Sister Lois A Taylor, PM and Brother Jay C Taylor who both received the DeMolay Cross of Honor. Brother Jay was also announced as Assistant Executive Officer of NH DeMolay. Welcome to our new affiliate Sister Janis Phelps Levasseur who joined us at our last meeting.
Sickness and Distress: Sister Elsie M. Durkee has been in the hospital in Wakefield, MA; Brother Herbert H Hutchinson, PP, will be having knee surgery in December; Sister Jacqueline B. Marden, PM, had a surgical procedure recently and is doing well; and Sister Tracey L Thompson will be having surgery in December. Get well wishes continue to go out to Brother David C Thompson, Jr., PGP, and to Sister Cynthia B. Covey, and to all our shut-ins.
Sympathy: Our sympathy is extended to the family of Sister Ellen Winters; to Brother Richard I. Poole, Sr. on the loss of his wife, Aloysia; and to the family of Sister Louise L. Dixon.

Dues and Assessment: Some members still have not paid their dues for 2012. Please check to see if you have your dues card in your wallet, and if not, send the fee into the Secretary as soon as possible. Dues notices for 2013 went out with the November bulletin. Please help the Chapter by paying in a timely manner.
Nashua Assembly #9 I.O.R.G. and Pledge & Sparkles: Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00 pm. OES and Masonic members are encouraged to attend ALL events. The next meetings are Dec 20 and Jan 3. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Deborah A. Wall, M.A. for more information regarding any Rainbow events at (603)494-9299.

NH Grand Chapter OES Scholarships: If you or a relative (child, grandchild) are interested in applying for the OES Educational Scholarship, and wish to be sponsored through our Chapter, you must send a letter to the Chapter Secretary no later than the December 2012 meeting date. NOTE: An earlier date for submission of nominee has been requested by the Scholarship Committee. All letters requesting consideration for this Scholarship will be read and voted on at our January meeting. Only one applicant can be chosen from each Chapter. Please contact the Secretary if you have any questions.
Upcoming Fundraiser: Raffle tickets are for sale for a 46 inch Flat Screen Television as a fundraiser with profit split between Pilgrim Chapter and Square and Compass Club. Tickets are $10 each and only 100 tickets will be sold. Drawing will be done on Dec. 19 at the Rising Sun Lodge meeting. Comedy Night at Kings Court: Enjoy some laughter, an All-You-Can-Eat Chinese Buffet, and a silent auction on January 12 at the Comedy Night at Kings Court. Tabs for Shriners: The Nashua Rainbow Girls continue to collect can tabs for the Shriners Hospitals as a service project and would be more than happy to take any tabs collected off your hands. Feel free to drop Tabs off at any meeting, or if you need a pick up from your home feel free to contact Sister Joan L Smith P.M. Secretary, for pick up of tabs from your home.
