What happened at the last meeting: At our November meeting we installed one more officer. A message from Grand Chapter regarding the new Legacy Planning program was read. We discussed our plans for the White Dove program. On December 2nd, we held a special meeting to initiate four new members! After this special meeting we wrapped gifts for our White Dove family and signed cards for our shut in, partial shut in, and longevity members.

Eastern Star Scholarships: It is time once again to decide on our Chapter nomination for an Educational Scholarship through Grand Chapter. If you or a family member are interested in being considered for this Scholarship please send a letter to request consideration to your secretary. The Chapter will vote on the nominee at the February 2017 meeting.

From the East:
Thank you to everyone who joined with us at our initiation to welcome in four new members. We hope to see our new members take active roles in the Chapter and enjoy the true meaning of fellowship with your sisters and brothers! Thank you also to everyone who donated gifts to our needy family. I am sure they will be truly appreciated on Christmas morning!

As our December meeting is just before Christmas, all are encouraged to bring a dozen (or two!) cookies or sweets to swap with your sisters and brothers. We will have this opportunity to pause for a moment in our busy schedules to enjoy the season! (and have cookies for Santa when you arrive home!)

May you all look to the Star in the East to guide you along your journey just as the Three Wise Men did ages ago… so that may we also follow His Star and learn the true meaning of this holiday season. Merry Christmas and God bless!
