What happened at the last meeting: At our October meeting we installed one officer and draped altar in loving memory of our Sister Katherine Jo Drown, PM. We discussed a number of fundraisers for this year including the Nashua Masonic Directory which will start production shortly. We decided we will be holding a special meeting night for initiation on December 2nd. For those that are looking to clean out their houses before the holidays, Jackie Desrosiers, WA of Nashua Rainbow is able to come by and accept donations for the Rainbow Recycling project (please see note of accepted items). Please contact the Worthy Matron to schedule a pick up. We will be working with Rainbow at their Cook-Off to support the Nashua Children’s Dyslexia Learning Center on November 20th. Enter a dish or simply stop by to taste the wonderful culinary creations!

Grand Chapter Raffle Fundraiser: This year, Grand Chapter will be hosting a state wide raffle fundraiser in businesses throughout the state.  As a chapter, we are requested to find 5 businesses who would be willing to showcase a raffle item (i.e. gift card for their establishment) where patrons can purchase a chance for $5.  At the end of the raffle time period, all proceeds from the raffle will go toward our state charity, the NH Food Bank.  What a great way to show our work in the community and fundraise for a great charity and if each chapter has 5 businesses participating that each raise $100 each, we could make $10,000!  Wow!  Full details on this great project are available from Sister Stacy Desrosiers, WM.

Dues Notices: Enclosed in this month’s mailing is dues notices for 2017. If you are a 50+ year member your dues card is included. Reminder that all 50+ year members after 2009 are asked to pay the annual per capita (currently $7.00) per vote of the Chapter. Dues notices also include a space for donating to the Eastern Star Ad program and the Youth Organizations, as well as charities of your choice such as the NH Food Bank- this year’s charity for Grand Chapter. There is also a space to fill in birthdate, telephone, email and address changes. These are very important for the secretary database.

Unity Party: This year the Unity Party is on Saturday, December 3rd. Tickets are $25 for Adults, $15 for Youth. They are available from your Secretary. Please contact Joan Smith (email or phone below) by November 25 if you wish to have tickets set aside for you!

Nashua Assembly #9 I.O.R.G.:
