Finance Committee News: The Finance
Committee has reviewed the income and expenses of the Chapter,
and after careful discussion, makes the following recommendations
to the Chapter, to be voted upon at our September meeting per
our bylaws:
Due to an anticipated decrease in revenue
from an expected drop in suppers being catered by the Chapter
next year, and an increase in next year’s rent payment, we recommend
that Chapter dues be increased by $3.00 (from S27.00 to $30.00)
in order to offset any shortfall.
The Finance Committee also recommends raising
the fee for affiliation to $10.00 from its current fee of $2.00.
The current affiliation fee does not cover the Chapter’s required
payment to the International Temple Fund (ITF), meaning a loss
to the Chapter on every affiliation.
Finally, the Finance Committee recommends
increasing the fee for petitioning from $30.00 to $35.00. The
fee currently just covers the cost of the Bible and ITF payment,
and does not go toward any expenses or Grand Chapter fee.

Sickness and Distress: Sister Donna K. Betz has been recently
diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had recent surgery. She will
be undergoing radiation therapy and her prognosis is excellent
as it was caught early; .Sister Patricia W. Hills fell July 5
and was taken to Concord Hospital. She fractured 4 vertebrae
in the neck (C2, C3, C6, (:T) and will be in a cervical collar
for the next 3-4 months. Please keep Sister Donna
and Sister Pat in your thoughts and prayers. Get well wishes
continue to be sent to Brother Richard I. Poole, Sr., P.G.P and
Sisters Evelyn Dailey and Nancy J. Molnar as they recuperate.
Congratulations
to Brothers John W. Jackson, WGP, and Robert M. Porter, Jr:,
PP, who were presented with the Rob Morris jewel at our last
meeting; to Sister JacquelineCole whose Grand Representative
appointment to New York was extended for the next two years;
and to Sister Joyce E. Brown. who was appointed to fill the station
of Grand Ruth for the 2011-2012 term of Grand Chapter.
We also congratulate our Sisters involved
with NH Rainbow Girls, and Nashua Assembly #9 on a successful
Grand Assembly session; to Sisters Allison L. Smith, PG.O., Allyson
J. Britko, P.G.W.A., and Sister Joan L. Smith, Supreme Deputy
who participated on the suite for the Installation of Grand Officers;
to Sisters Nikia A. Quesnel for her appointment to Grand Drill
Leader, and Ariel N. Robey for her appointment as Grand Love
and Trailer; to Nashua Assembly for their awards for Tabs (2nd
place), Scrapbook (1st place), Magazine (1st place), Assembly
travel award (1st place), GWA Leading Lady- Madeline Going, from
Nashua, and Ritual Competition 1st place award Claire Desrosiers
from Nashua Pledge group.

Grand Chapter of NH: On August 25-27, 2011- The 21st “Heart
and Soul” Grand Chapter of NH session will be held at the
Center of NH in Manchester. All members are cordially invited
to attend as our own Sister Shelley and Brother John preside
over the sessions. Registration is $7.00 can be pre-paid; Registration,
Banquet, and Housing nformation can be obtained by visiting the

now available at a bargain price of $3.00. It is also available

Polo Shirts:
Sister Luis A. Taylor, is selling embroidered Polo Shirts with
the OES emblem and Pilgrim Chapter #55. The cost of these shirts

are nterested in purchasing one.
Grand Chapter Craft Table: Sister Tracey L. Thompson is collecting craft
items for the Craft Table at Grand Chapter this year. If you
have any items you would like to donate or make for the craft
table, please contact Sister Tracey, at (603)261-5277.
Yard Sale for the Service Dogs Project: Due to inclement veather the Yard Sale has been
postponed until the Fall timeframe. Please continue to collect
all those items you have in your homes that you wish to donate.
Sister Pamela G. Williams, PM. will be in touch with us regarding
new date for sale by September timeframe. If you have items but
cannot attend call Sister Pam at (603)888-4652.
August 20th CHIP event: Rising Sun is sponsoring a CHIP event and needs our assistance. It will be at the Granite Skate on August 20th.
There will be a training session scheduled prior to the event
(TBA). If anyone is interested in helping they can contact Brother
